Equitable Outcomes was set up to help ensure that service user outcomes are central to the design of casework processes, performance frameworks, and the case management software used to support them.
Combining four interconnected disciplines, and underpinned by a systems-thinking approach, EO can help ensure that equitable outcomes for service users are measurably and demonstrably achieved.
Jes began his career in 1988 as a volunteer with Rochdale’s Youth Justice service. He then moved to North Carolina to work as a counsellor/teacher in a wilderness alternative-to-custody programme in the Appalachian Mountains, before returning to the UK and senior residential worker roles in therapeutic communities in England and North Wales.
After piloting a 1-2-1 therapeutic programme in the Pyrenees, he returned to the UK and qualified as a social worker in Sheffield in 1994, working in an LA area children and families team before specialising in supporting young people leaving care and mentoring students as a social work practice teacher.
After a further four years managing statutory leaving care teams, he moved into software product management where he has spent the last 19 years designing, delivering, and supporting case management systems across social care, leaving care, early intervention, youth justice, education, SEND, & virtual schools. In that time, he has worked with nearly every Local Authority in England and Wales, several in Scotland, and on major projects with the YJB and DfE.
EO draws on this extensive case management experience both in front line practice and management, and with software suppliers, front-line practitioners, & service users across residential care, early intervention, safeguarding, children looked after, children leaving care, foster care, youth justice, SEND services and virtual schools.
A rigorous focus on outcomes is balanced by a positive and pragmatic approach to the challenges facing service users & their families, the front-line teams helping them, and the software suppliers supporting those teams in turn.
